Neural Foramen

Overview

The opening in your spine where nerves exit to go to different parts of your body.

Detailed Description

The neural foramen (intervertebral foramen) is the bony opening between adjacent vertebrae through which spinal nerve roots exit the spinal canal. The size of this foramen is influenced by disc height, facet joint position, and ligament thickness.

ELDOA targets neural foraminal space by creating intervertebral decompression. When disc height is increased and facet joints are separated through ELDOA positioning, the neural foramen opens, reducing pressure on the exiting nerve roots.

Foraminal stenosisโ€”narrowing of the neural foramenโ€”is a common cause of radicular symptoms. ELDOA provides a non-invasive approach to temporarily increasing foraminal space and improving neural function.
